Year 1 (fall 2018-spring 2019)

Fall Semester First Year HIE (confirmed): First Year Seminar
What will you do in the experience? I will use this experience to learn a new perspective on a topic that is not talked about much.  
How will it benefit your purposeful exploration, personal, professional and/or civic growth? This will benefit my personal growth by teaching me to be more aware of those around me and how much home impacts them.  Professionally, this class will be very beneficial because there are a lot of psychological aspects of the topic of this class.  

 

PLANNED Spring Semester First Year HIE: GPS Service Project
What will you do in the experience? My GPS class will work together to put a project together that will benefit the UWGB community or the Green Bay community.  
What are the requirements/prerequisites? What is your plan to gain access? The only requirement is to be in the GPS program, which I am already in.  
How will it benefit your purposeful exploration, personal, professional and/or civic growth? This will benefit me by giving me a way to start to connect with the new community around me and will give me an opportunity to serve that community.  

 

Year 2 (fall 2019-spring 2020)

PLANNED Fall Semester Second Year HIE: Creative Writing Course
What will you do in the experience? I will work on my writing skills and grow as a creative writer.  
What are the requirements/prerequisites? What is your plan to gain access? English 100, which I am taking Spring 2019
How will it benefit your purposeful exploration, personal, professional and/or civic growth? I would like to write a novel someday and I am always trying to grow as a writer and I believe that this class will help me immensely.  

 

PLANNED Spring Semester Second Year HIE: Study Abroad in Spain  
What will you do in the experience? I will go to Spain and take a bunch of spanish classes.  
What are the requirements/prerequisites? What is your plan to gain access? I have to pass a language proficiency test, so I will work hard my next two semesters in my spanish skills so that I have the best possible chance of passing the test.  
How will it benefit your purposeful exploration, personal, professional and/or civic growth? I am minoring in Spanish and Latin American Studies and studying spanish for a semester in Spain will help me finish my Spanish Minor much faster.
