Fall Semester First Year: First Year Seminar
- What will you do in the experience? Learn about different philosophical stuff and interact with a fun group of people.
- How will it benefit your purposeful exploration, personal, professional and/or civic growth? It will help me in college by giving me an idea of what future classes will be like. It also expanded my horizons because I’ve never taken a philosophy class before.
Spring Semester First Year: DECA Internationals
- What are the requirements/prerequisites? What is your plan to gain access? Go to Internationals for DECA. The prerequisite is to good at state.
- What will you do in the experience? I will go to Orlando, Florida and my research paper will go against people on the international level.
- How will it benefit your purposeful exploration, personal, professional and/or civic growth? It will help me professionally by it will look good on resumes and give me good experience.
POSSIBLE Spring Semester First Year: Internship; Modern Woodmen of America
- What are the requirements/prerequisites? What is your plan to gain access? Internship with Modern Woodmen of America.
- What will you do in the experience? During the spring it is just a 3-hour class every Friday. I will learn about being a financial advisor and different selling techniques.
- How will it benefit your purposeful exploration, personal, professional and/or civic growth? It will help me professionally by possibly giving me a career after college if I like it and do good at it.
Fall Semester Second Year: Independent Study; The Commons
- What are the requirements/prerequisites? What is your plan to gain access? I want to do an independent study in Milwaukee with a company called The Commons.
- What will you do in the experience? Solve a real-world business problem with a team.
- How will it benefit your purposeful exploration, personal, professional and/or civic growth? It will help me professionally grow by experience.
POSSIBLE Fall Semester Second Year: Study Abroad; Cuernavaca, Mexico
- What are the requirements/prerequisites? What is your plan to gain access? I just have to have a 2.o GPA. I plan to apply to gain access.
- What will you do in the experience? Learn about Mexico’s culture, business, and language.
- How will it benefit your purposeful exploration, personal, professional and/or civic growth? It will help me by learning how other countries do business as well as a good experience in another country.
Spring Semester Second Year: Internship with Modern Woodmen of America again
- What are the requirements/prerequisites? What is your plan to gain access? I have to do good in the first internship and in summer.
- What will you do in the experience? I will actually be working with financial advisors and building my own clientele for the summer.
- How will it benefit your purposeful exploration, personal, professional and/or civic growth? It will teach me what it’s like to work full time in that career.
POSSIBLE Spring Semester Second Year: Volunteer at the Humane Society
- What are the requirements/prerequisites? What is your plan to gain access? No requirements just free time.
- What will you do in the experience? I would walk the dogs and clean up after them for free.
- How will it benefit your purposeful exploration, personal, professional and/or civic growth? It would help me gain volunteering while spending time with some animals I love.
