Oral Communication/Class discussions |
1st year Seminar |
Class discussion we’ve had has strengthen my courage to speak and get engaged in the topic held in class. As the semester went on, I became more engaged. Sometimes I think I may have been overly engaged, but I learned a lot about things I didn’t understand by asking questions during discussions and being engaged. |
Written Communication |
COMM SCI 145 |
The in class writing journals have helped me more than I thought it would in many ways. It helped me express feelings about things I never expressed before. It gave me a sense of courage and confidence as well. |
Global/Intercultural Fluency |
Sociology |
There was an assignment where I had to identify the nationality of a person. I did bad, but I wasn’t the only one. After discussing the chapter and assignment Prof. Hutchison just opened my eyes on how many different cultural backgrounds people carry. I understand that there’re numerous cultural people and societies but to learn firsthand was eye opening. |

The leading is English comp 100 workshops is like the leadership skill because of the “use interpersonal skills to coach and develop others, while also, being able to assess and manage his/her emotions and those of others; use empathetic skills to guide and motivate; and organize, prioritize, and delegate work”. |
